Happy Solstice :)
I’m here to remind you that my show at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival is happening Sunday, June 29th at 7:30pm on the TD Stage (the big one!!!)
We’ve been rehearsing and touring and plotting to make this a most lovely musical offering to our beautiful city. Yay yay yay!
Between gigs this month, I’ve been on set for a new film, Love & Chaos. It’s about the misadventures of an improv troupe, which is fun/fitting because I just had my level 3 improv grad show, and I’ve caught the bug. Shoutout to my superb friend and improv legend Christian for encouraging this.
It’s been a blast of a shoot and folks have been awesome to work with. Very early mornings, though. Between the 4am call times, late night shows, rehearsals and press, the next few days will be devoted to napping and painting.
I like painting first thing in the morning, right as I roll out of bed, before anyone expects an email from me. It feels like I’ve stolen some time, and it helps put me in a good headspace for the day. It’s also helping me adjust to my new home, via observing and painting from my surroundings.
Here are some recent paintings and sketches I’ve done in small pockets of time between my activities.

Phew! See you in 8 days, bring your friends :))))))
xx
